Small Pet Select was born in 2012 when Laurie Gordon’s guinea pig, Lizzie, refused to eat store-bought hay. Laurie tried every brand she could find, but Lizzie turned her nose up at all of them. Worried about Lizzie’s health, Laurie was at a loss.

Laurie’s son Billy, living in hay-rich Ellensburg, WA, brought fresh local hay home for Lizzie, and she loved it. Recognizing a broader need, Billy began sharing samples with other pet owners. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with both pets and their owners thrilled by the quality.

12 years later, Small Pet Select is still a family-owned business, providing high-quality hay to happy pets across the country. We've grown, but our commitment to quality and care remains the same, with a bright future ahead.
