But herbs are good for more than just their yummy flavor. They also enhance your rabbit’s health with their natural nutrients and medicinal properties.

Most herbs that are commonly found in the garden are completely safe for rabbits. They give your rabbit a wholesome diet with a variety of vitamins and nutrients.

Echinacea is a terrific food to support your rabbit or guinea pig’s general health.  It is also a great workout for teeth, and adds to the variety! It's an all natural herb that helps your rabbit and guinea pig stay happy and healthy.

Echinacea is another green that helps a rabbit’s immune system. If your rabbit battles frequent infections, echinacea is the perfect addition to their diet. Although many veterinarians recommend echinacea herbs for all rabbits. Because who doesn’t need an immune system boost?

Feeding instructions:

Place a handful of feed inside the pet's habitat, filling as needed. Pets should have an unlimited supply of grass hay at all times. Any new food should be introduced patiently. Give them a tablespoon per day. For the first few days your animal may not touch it at all. Avoid putting new snacks on top of greens, pellets, or mixing them into hay at first - we don’t want them to stop eating the things they already trust. Make a fuss about the new stuff - tell them how good it is. They’ll get the idea, and work up their confidence, and one day they’ll try it. Maximum serving amount: guinea pigs and small rabbits, ½ to 1 TBS up to 3 times per week. Larger rabbits, 1-2 TBS 3x per week.
