Can rabbits eat zucchini?

Can I feed zucchini to my rabbit?

Zucchini….such a delicious vegetable, and such a fun word to say.  But can rabbits eat zucchini?

The short answer is simple.  Yes, rabbits can eat zucchini.  However, that doesn’t mean you should feed it to them round the clock.  The truth is, rabbits need just a few things for the core of their diet, and those items are high-quality timothy hay, fresh and clean water, as well as quality rabbit pellets.  If you can make sure your rabbit is getting these on a daily basis and as priority, you’ll do a lot to make sure you have a healthy and happy rabbit.  Vegetables such as zucchini can add some variety to the diet, but if you feed them just make sure it is a sensible amount, it should be looked as a supplement and not a substitute.

Thanks for stopping by, we hope this post has been helpful.  And of course we’d love to have you back again real soon.

Take care, and till next time, love those rabbits…
